Job description:
- Modeling and calculation of Tonnage for newbuildings and vessels/offshore units in operation
- Issuance of International Tonnage Certificate (ITC-69), Suez Canal Special Tonnage certificate and Certificate of Survey
- Preparing ship specific tonnage documentation for the Panama Canal
- Development of Rules and Instructions to Surveyors for Tonnage
- Support to DNV vessels in operation, newbuilding and conversion projects around the world
Qualifications: Experience from ship design, modeling (NAPA), newbuilding yard or related approval is preferable, but not a prerequisite
Business language: English and Norwegian

Mission:
Directs project team concerning all technical aspects of the project, within schedule and according to the quality requirements within the scope of work and specifications of the Contract. And also assist the Project Manager in his work regarding schedule, budget and quality during the preparation and execution of the project.
Responsibilities:
- Familiarize with the contract budget, schedule and scope of work
- Create clear overview of technical aspects of the scope of work

Those people are working on several Engineering Departments. A team of Design and Structural Engineers in this department design structures for optimum transport. They ensure the cargo is safely supported and secured during the ocean voyage. That is partly done through sophisticated computer simulations.
Mission:
The Structural Engineer designs and calculates steel structures as well as verifying the strength of complete transport arrangements to ensure safe execution of the project. He, or she, provides "up-to-date" engineering advice and support to the projects and assists in the development and improvement of structural engineering methods, tools and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Answer enquiries needed for a successful acquisitions process or project
- Responsible for strength check of vessel and cargo and additional structural items
- Prepare transports/installations and have documents checked and approved
- Assist in the development and improvement of structural engineering tools and methods
- Provide engineering advice and support to other disciplines as well as external parties
Requirements:
- Completed Bachelor or higher in the field of naval architecture/aerospace engineering
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, with a focus on structural engineering
- Experience with FEA methods and understanding of structural design principles
